The Inga people are located mainly in the Sibundoy Valley- at 2,200 meters above sea level- in the department of Putumayo.
The 2005 DANE census reported 15,450 people self-recognized as belonging to the Inga people. The Inga Quechua language (Ingano) is spoken in the Colombian department of Putumayo."
