Gildi in harmony with nature
Zapote is a tree that has an extensive root system and bark that contains a white, gummy sap called chicle. The egg-shaped fruit contains a yellow fruit inside that kernel when eaten tastes like a pear. Considered the best fruit in Central America, even rainforest mammals, like howler monkeys, find the delicious fruit. Chewing gum was created the first even from the loquat by the Mayans and Aztecs. Location: Native to southern Mexico, Belize and northeastern Guatemala.
