Victoria Amazonica Giant Waterlily: It is characterized by having large circular leaves up to 1 meter in diameter that float on the surface of the water on submerged stems that reach 7 to 8 m in length. They can support up to 40 kg if the weight is well distributed on its surface.
The flower, measuring up to 40 cm in diameter, opens at dusk (from six o'clock in the evening), exhales a fragrance similar to apricot, called by Europeans "lake rose".
