Rore: The Amazonian royal parrotis a species of parrot native to most of the Americas, with subspecies from southern Mexico to Peru, Brazil, Bolivia, Colombia and Venezuela. It measures 35-37 cm in length; plumage primarily greenish, face and crown yellow, pale bill, orange eyes, white eye rings, and red flashes on the back to the wings. Adult males and females do not differ in plumage; they are usually found in pairs rather than flocks. They eat fruits, nuts, seeds, berries, peanuts, etc.
Its nest is usually in tree cavities where it lays three or four eggs. Incubation time varies from 25-26 days. Chicks remain in the nest for 21-70 days.
