Makú: Several indigenous hunter-gatherer peoples of the northwestern Amazon. The Makú people live in the northwestern department of Guaviare, in areas between the Inírida and Guaviare rivers. The Makú languages form a linguistic family proposed by Theodor Koch-Grünberg in 1906.
