Coli: The pechigris hummingbird or the gray saber-winged hummingbird. is a species of bird of the Trochilidae family, found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Guianas, Peru and Venezuela, measuring between 13.5 and 14.5 cm in length. It weighs an average of 8.5 g, neck, chest and belly, grayish color; back and crown green; with dark spots.

Its name comes from the long wing feathers, black tail with white tips, the rather heavy and slightly drooping bill, a white spot behind the eye and white tips on the tail. It has the habit of landing on open and visible branches. Males may gather in groups of 2 to 4 to sing.
