Aguarico: It is a South American whitewater river that flows through Ecuador and Peru, a tributary of the Napo River, itself part of the Amazon basin. It is 390 km long,1 of which the last 50 km of its lower course form the natural border between Ecuador and Peru (in the department of Loreto). Its major tributaries are the Chingual, Due, Cuyabeno and Lagarto-Cocha rivers.
