Located in the Isana River and headwaters of the Negro River, on the left and right banks of the Vaupés River, departments of Guainía, Vaupés and Vichada.
Their population is estimated at 4340 individuals.
Their language belongs to the Arawak linguistic family. The majority of the population speaks Kurripaco and for commercial, social and political activities, Spanish.
