Cantua buxifoliapopularly known as cantuta, is a species of shrub belonging to the Polemoniaceae family. Unofficially it is the national flower of Peru and officially one of the two national flowers of Bolivia (along with the patujú flower),and was considered "the sacred flower of the Incas.
